A direct sequel to the cult turn-based strategy of Panzer General from 1994. This time we are experiencing the Second World War from the point of view of the Allies, taking part in a Russian, British or American campaign.

Allied General is a direct sequel to the cult turn-based strategy of Panzer General created by Strategic Simulations Inc. in 1994. This time we are experiencing the Second World War from the point of view of the Allies.

In the game we can take part in Russian, American and two British campaigns. The Soviet campaign includes the Soviet invasion of Finland, known as the Winter War, the defence of Moscow and a counterattack on axis units. Commanded by American troops, we take part in Operation Torch and further events related to the German invasion of Europe. In British campaigns, we are fighting mainly in North Africa, from Sidi Barrani to the final Allied attack in Tunis. A large part of the maps used in the game is a repetition of those known from the first part.

Unlike the original, Allied General is designed with Windows capabilities in mind. This affected not only the quality of the graphic design, but also a more user-friendly interface. Apart from that, the game uses proven, although controversial for racial strategists, solutions from the first part of the game. So we have taken from RPG games the advancement of units and the ability to use them in many subsequent battles, a shop - where we can buy the appropriate support for their troops, or a point score, affecting the order and availability of subsequent missions.
