All the Delicate Duplicates is an experimental adventure game with exploration mechanics, developed by Mez Breeze and Andy Campbell under One to One Development Trust and Dreaming Methods. Creators drew their inspirations from games such as Gone Home, and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. All the Delicate Duplicates is available on PC.
The main protagonist of All the Delicate Duplicates is John – a computer scientist and a single father of Charlotte, who accompanies him on his adventure. One day, the man receives some mysterious items – journals and sketches – as an inheritance from an enigmatic relative of his – Mo. After some time, our characters discover that the objects they inherited, and now keep in the attic, feature some unusual properties that affect both their surroundings and memories.
Like in the aforementioned games, a player can observe the action of All the Delicate Duplicates from the first-person perspective (FPP). Moreover, one gets to explore diverse and surreal locations – this includes both outdoors and, for example, the protagonist’s apartment. Consecutive plot sequences are revealed after the main protagonist reads texts and site-specific notes, which he finds on his way to discover the secret of the mysterious inheritance.
Because the game is rather short (it can be finished within an hour) and nonlinear, one might classify it as an interactive movie experience, rather than a typical video game.
The 3D visuals featured in the PC release of All the Delicate Duplicates are pretty solid, powered by the Unity engine.
