Alexander III the Great, also called Macedonian, became famous for his conquests to the extent that the film about him, in biographical assumption, was made by Oliver Stone (played in it by Colin Farrell, Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie, among others). UbiSoft studio has prepared a computer version of this image.

Alexander III of Macedon, also known as Alexander the Great, made a name for himself thanks to his conquests, finally making his way into the cinema. The movie about this figure was created by Oliver Stone (starred by Colin Farrell, Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie). In turn, Ubisoft prepared a video game adaptation of the motion picture.

The game, simply entitled Alexander, is a real-time strategy focused on battles. The historical background was faithfully recreated (including many battles fought in Asia Minor), just like contemporary tactics (formations, strategies, fighting style). The gameplay appeals to both experienced players and beginners. Each of the historical campaigns has its unique character and ways of managing resources and troops. Historical figures from the period appear in real-time battles. The historical accuracy does not mean, however, that the player has to win every time.
