Alchemy is the work of the independent German studio Springtail, known mainly from the Haluz series. Developer's tandem - Tomas Kaleta and Julian Winter once again tempted themselves for an adventure in classic style and artistic form.
The action of the game was set in the land of dreams. Once a little boy accidentally shoots down a bizarre, flying creature. The baby decides to help his soul to find a new, mechanical body. A bizarre pair of heroes plunge into the labyrinth of caves, where they discover a mysterious city, whose inhabitants are experts in ancient alchemical skills....
As befits a real adventure, the player's main task is to explore the location, talk to independent characters and solve logical puzzles. The latter are mainly based on the handling of environmental elements or the appropriate use of items from the inventory window. The whole gameplay is divided into levels, and for ease of use you can take advantage of the guide prepared by the creators of the transition.
Alchemia stands out from its competitors due to its high artistry of visual setting. Unusual two-dimensional graphics and simple motion animations resemble fairy tales made using traditional drawing animation techniques. The soundtrack composed by Julian Winter works well with the atmosphere of the game.
Note: The game is also available in an extended version. It contains 5 additional levels and 9 new locations.
