Airport Tycoon is an economic strategy developed by Krysalis Software studio with extensive simulation elements. The player takes on the role of director of an international airport, and his task is to ensure the safety and comfort of travellers. The creators focused on great realism, both in terms of airport management, appearance of objects, as well as possible random events.

Airport Inc. is the most realistic airport simulator that uses a fully three-dimensional engine and real-time animations. The flight is delayed and passengers are stuck in the waiting rooms of a large international airport through a strike by controllers. Restaurants and shops at the terminals were closed for the night and only a few water springs remained to the increasingly angry crowd of more than 1000 people.

More and more suitcases and bags are disappearing in the baggage collection terminal. Few security staff are not able to prevent crime. A number of incidents have led to many powerful airlines cancelling flights and directing machines to competitors - to neighbouring airports. It is the most foggy day of the year - it causes long delays in arrivals and departures.

The crowd on the roads leading to the terminals has reached a critical size. At the airport security station, a phone call was just received that a bomb had been placed somewhere in the port area. Is it really? In addition, one of the professors from a nearby university sends a fax with the information that the entire airport was built on geologically unstable terrain and can fall into a giant crater at any time.
