Another of the annual installments of one of the most popular agricultural simulations, developed by German studio ActaLogic. It allows players to take on the role of a modern farmer, dealing with crop cultivation, animal husbandry and various jobs using an arsenal of specialized machinery.

Agrar Simulator series is one of the top farming sims. When creating its fourth installment, the German developers, the team of ActaLogic Studios, set for themselves a goal of enriching the existing mechanics with new elements, including better audiovisuals.

Following the example set by previous games in the series, Agrar Simulator 2013 allows you to take the role of a modern-day farmer who uses a number of specialized machines for his work. This time, the player can engage into agricultural activities on three maps - in Tuscany, in the Alps, and on an American farm.

Traditionally, the game developers took care to implement a wide range of vehicles and equipment that can be used for work on a virtual farm. In the game there are dozens of faithful representations of machines produced by such manufacturers as: Fendt, Valtra, Massey Ferguson, Challenger, Fruehauf, Horsch, and Amazone.

The novelties introduced in Agrar Simulator 2013 include new types of crops (sunflower) and animals (including horses, sheep, and pigs), as well as an advanced system of helpers, who can e.g. take care about transportation. One of the biggest changes is introducing different physical properties of the ground, which affect handling of the machines.

The graphics engine applied – InsomniaEngine – generates three-dimensional environment with lots of details. Noteworthy are photorealistic models of agricultural vehicles. Developers took care even of such details as dirt covering a machine in use.
