All titles were developed and taken care of by Ensemble Studios. Regardless of the chosen title, the player takes control over one of numerous available civilizations, with a task to conquer its opponents.

Age of Empires – Choose one of twelve greatest ancient civilizations. You can lead Greek phalanxes, known as one of the greatest infantry units in the history of the world, send Hittite and Assyrian chariots, build the economical might of Egypt, Babylon, or Sumerian, lead Persia to become the dominant power in the region, or attempt to conquer Eastern Asia as China, Korea, or Japan. Try to dominate the world sea trade as Phoenicia or Crete. Each civilization has its strong and weak points, and hold to one of a few technological trees.
Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome – The official expansion to Age of Empires takes us to Ancient Rome. The game received new civilizations: Carthage, Palmyra, and Macedonia, as well as new units: armored elephants, camel riders, military chariots, slingshooters, as well as galleys spewing burning projectiles. We’ve also received new technologies, including logistics, martyrs, medicine, or pavese.
Age of Empires II: The Age of the Kings takes place in the Middle Ages, thousand years after the demise of Roman Empire. The player can take control of one of thirteen civilizations which strive for the domination over their region. The game managed to appeal to the fans of the first installment, adding additional military and economic elements at the same time.
Age of Empires II: The Conquerors is an official add-on to Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings. The expansion focuses on legendary heroes, introducing new campaigns and multiplayer elements suitable for experienced players, as well as beginners. We’ve received five new civilizations with unique technologies, while new campaigns follow the fortunes of famous conquerors, such as Attila the Hun, El Cid, or Montezuma.
