Game mechanics

In Aftermath we observe the action from the third person perspective (TPP). Over the city is hovering an ancient artifact. The streets and buildings are full of enemies and deadly anomalies. To deal with opponents, we must skillfully use every available weapon, as well as show cunning and perceptiveness to discover their weaknesses. In moments when we have to escape, dexterity comes in handy; Charlie can climb or jump over terrain obstacles.

In the game we can also find survival elements. During the game we have to provide Charlie with food and keep her mental and physical health at the right level. The latter is also necessary to deal with the mysterious, invisible enemy following the heroine. In addition, a crafting system is implemented here; during the game we acquire parts from which we can construct weapons and other useful items.

Technical aspects

Aftermath can boast high quality graphic design. Alessandro Bavari, the artist who previously worked on Suspiria and Alien: Covenant, among other films, supervised its aesthetics. The gameplay takes place to the accompaniment of an atmospheric soundtrack, which consists of tracks by such bands as UNKLE and Planet Funk.
