Aftercharge is an FPS game focusing on multiplayer 3-vs-3 matches. Half of the players take on the roles of robots, while the other half are soldiers. Their task is to destroy or protect given targets.

Aftercharge is an asymmetric multiplayer action game by Cainsawesome Games, known for the 2015 production Knight Squad. The game was released on PC Windows, XONE, and Switch.

Mechanics

The game is a 3D first person shooter, featuring only a multiplayer mode. The matched involve two teams of three players each. One team plays as robots, the other as soldiers, who try to stop them. The robots' task is to destroy the so-called extractors, which are six special devices located on the map. The other team has to eliminate the robots before they complete their objective.

The gameplay is asymmetrical, which means that is differs depending on your team. The robots are invisible and can revive their fallen teammates. Since they are specialized in close-quarters combat, they also have to cooperate with each other. On the other hand, the soldiers, depending on their class, have two kinds of weapons (including ranged ones) each and one special ability. However, they all use up energy generated by the extractors, which forces the soldiers to keep close to them.
