AFL Live 2003 Description
AFL Live 2003, released on PC, PS2 and XBOX, was developed by the Australian studio IR Gurus Interactive (later Transmission Games) and published by Acclaim Entertainment.
Game modes
Thanks to the official AFL (Australian Football League) license, the player has the opportunity to lead their favorite teams from among 16 real teams taking part in the 2002 season. The competition takes place in six carefully reproduced stadiums, including the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground.
AFL Live 2003 has three game modes - a single match, an entire season or only the finals. The creators have done their best to replicate the official rules governing Australian football (a discipline combining rugby and American football). Each player is described by 25 stats, which determine how he behaves on the pitch. In addition, the player can change the tactics of their team during the game.
Technical aspects
The audio-visuals of AFL Live 2003 don't differ in quality from other sports games of that period. The game offers dynamic weather conditions, as well as the possibility of choosing between natural and artificial lighting. The advantages of the game include natural-looking animations of players done with motion-capture technology.
