A remake of an adventure created by LK Avalon company, referring to Juliusz Machulski's cult film "Seksmisja" (Sexmission). Players find themselves in a world ruled by women, and their task is to restore the natural order of things.

8-bit computer enthusiasts associate the name of Roland Pantola with excellent adventures published in the early 1990s by LK Avalon. One of his greatest successes was the game A.D. 2044 addressed to Atari ST, which was released in 1991. Five years later the developer decided to prepare a PC version of his hit.

Although the work on A.D. 2044 did not use the original screenplay of the film "Sexmission", many ideas in the feature layer refer to the cult comedy. The main character is hibernated and wakes up after several decades in a world completely dominated by women. It must not only survive, but also restore the natural order, i.e. resurrect the male sex.

In terms of workmanship and techniques used, the game does not differ from the level of adventures published at the same time, such as 7th Guest. The creators of A.D. 2044 have tried to obtain a large number of logical puzzles, which may not be especially difficult, but require the use of gray cells. The classic interface of the game does not sin with its functionality, but it is relatively easy to use and does not absorb much attention.
