Actual Sunlight is a simple in terms of mechanics and short (the game can be completed in less than an hour) adventure game from the independent studio WZO Games, which has one more title in its account - Little Red Lie. The production was originally created in RPG Maker VX ACE and was released for free in 2013. However, an improved version was later released as a paid but inexpensive project.
Story
The production focuses mainly on narrative, as the game is limited to moving between locations. In the game we follow the fate of Evan Winter, an ordinary employee of one of the corporations, whose life is far from perfect. The story touches on many of the problems people face - including love, depression, and even addiction to video games.
Mechanics
Gameplay, in the traditional sense of the word, practically does not exist in Actual Sunlight. The game is based on a formula similar to Japanese visual novels and consists mainly of reading a text narrative. From time to time, we come across a short sequence of moving from one place to another, graphically reminiscent of old jRPGs.
