Aces of the Luftwaffe Description
Aces of the Luftwaffe is a shoot'em up game set during World War II. The game was developed by the German HandyGames team.
Plot
Aces of the Luftwaffe allows players to participate in the Battle of England. During the game, players assume the roles of pilots of the Royal Air Force, and are tasked with stopping the titular Luftwaffe - German air force attacking the UK.
Mechanics
In Aces of the Luftwaffe the action is shown from the top-down perspective. During the game players take part in various missions consisting not only of eliminating ale the opponents but also in escorting bombers or flying stealthily. However, the game revolves around aerial dogfights. Players face both hosts of adversaries, whose strength lies in their numbers, as well as much more powerful bosses waiting at the end of each stage.
The title allows players to take control of one of the three pilots, each with a different machine and a special attack, activated after shooting down a certain number of enemies. In addition, one's chances of winning are increased by the power-ups gained during skirmishes, as well as improvements to the aircraft, which will be unlocked with one's progess.
