Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus Description
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus is an improved version of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy. So this is the next installment of a recognized series of arcade air shooters, in which we sit at the helm of fighters. Contrary to the European title, the project has little in common with the Assault Horizon Legacy Plus released in 2011 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus, and in fact it is a remake of Ace Combat 2. The production is virtually the same game as the basic Assault Horizon Legacy, but the developers took care of the support for the amiibo figurines, so that we can move the toys to the virtual world, gaining special paintings for the aircraft. In addition, the project supports handheld New 3DS, which has additional buttons and a second analog knob.
The action takes place four years after the war Belkan. The Usean nations, out of fear of the Osean Federation and the Union of Yuktobanian Republics, intend to create a special military force to protect the population. However, southern Usean countries are considering joining the Osean Federation by signing a treaty. A coup d'état is taking place on the day the agreement is concluded, and in order to prevent a complete break-up of the state, the government decides to implement Operation Fighter's Honor, headed by Special Tactical Fighter Squadron Scarface. Players take on the role of the pilot of the unit in question, a certain Phoenix, who, together with his colleagues, must stop the threat.
While having fun, we sit at the helm of various fighters, including such machines as Boeing F-15SE Silent Eagle or Suchoj PAK FA, which we take part in both the campaign and the challenge mode. The game does not differ significantly from the rest of the series, which is why we are dealing with an arcade control model and frequent clashes. The game is divided into a number of levels. After the completion of each of them, we can repeat the mission if we are not satisfied with the result achieved. There were also various additional functions, such as the option to watch repetitions of battles, or Data Viewer, which is a device in which you can find out about your aircraft, weapons and received medals.
The graphic design presents a high level of quality as far as the possibilities offered by 3DS are concerned. Of course, there were a few mistakes, including the problem with the ugly execution of land, which can be seen when reaching the low flight limits, which is common in this type of games. In general, however, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus performs very well.
