Accel World vs. Sword Art Online for PC, PS4 and PSV is an action RPG based on Sword Art Online and Accel World. Both series started as books written by Reki Kawahara. They become much more popular after their anime adaptations debuted. Accel World vs. Sword Art Online is powered by technology and engine used for previous Sword Art Online games like Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization and Sword Art Online: Lost Song. All titles were developed by Japanese studio Artdink and published by Namco Bandai.

Plot

Accel World vs. Sword Art Online for PC, PS4 and PSV tells a completely new story in which the characters from Sword Art Online and from Accel World meet each other. The players of the virtual MMO ALfheim Online encounter mysterious phenomenon that causes unknown travelers to appear in their virtual world. Soon it is revealed that the travelers are from the future and that they are looking for a way to get back home. The story is presented from the perspective of Kirito, the main protagonist of Sword Art Online series. However, the scenario enables the player to play as the protagonists of Accel World and discover the story from their perspective as well.

Mechanics

Accel World vs. Sword Art Online for PC, PS4 and PSV is based on same mechanics as the ones used in Sword Art Online: Lost Song. The game is a three-dimensional action RPG in which the action is presented by using a third-person perspective. The players are traveling through large locations and they are able to freely fly and participate in aerial combat. The game offers large variety of playable characters. Each of them has unique attacks and skills that become stronger as player gathers experience points. In the singleplayer campaign the player is accompanied by up to two companions controlled by AI.
