AC-130: Operation Devastation is an airborne target sight shooter produced by the Frozen Codebase studio. The player plays the role of an artiller operating an AC-130 aircraft and his task is to destroy enemy units and targets in several missions inspired by authentic military operations carried out in Vietnam, Iraq and Panama.

AC-130: Operation Devastation is the work of an independent studio Frozen Codebase, known for such productions as Kick-Ass: The Video Game and BurgerTime World Tour. The source of inspiration for the creators of the game were recordings of real U.S. aviation actions.

Unlike most airborne shooters, the player does not fly the plane, but plays the role of a member of the crew operating various weapon systems. Its task is to destroy the indicated targets and enemy units that pose a threat to AC-130.

The game offers two play modes for one-player gameplay. The main campaign consists of 12 missions inspired by genuine U.S. aviation operations using AC-130 support aircraft over a period of more than 30 years in Vietnam, Iraq and Panama. Tasks include destroying ground targets and shielding ground forces. The creators have also prepared 6 dynamic scenarios available in arcade mode, in which there are no restrictions related to e.g. the amount of ammunition.
