Above Snakes is a western-style survival strategy game. It was developed by Square Glade Games studio, for which it was a debut project.

Plot

The action of the game takes place in a fictional universe based on the Wild West. The player takes on the role of a young Indian girl, whose main task is to survive.

We learn the history of the heroine, form her relations with the settlers and discover the many secrets of the world, among which there is no shortage of supernatural elements, including ghosts. One of the main storylines involves zombies whose bodies have been reanimated with the help of mysterious meteorites.

Game mechanics

Above Snakes is an isometric strategy game focused on survival elements. Our heroine has to collect resources and use them to construct items and buildings in our settlement. The player must also hunt, fish and farm.

As befits a survival game, we have hunger, thirst and fatigue systems. The game world is a dangerous place, so we also spend a lot of time fighting predators, hostile humans and sometimes - even monsters.

What distinguishes the game from other productions of this type is the construction of the world. When we start playing, the map consists of one square field. Unlocking more requires paying for them with resources. At the same time, during such a purchase, the player can choose many elements of the section he acquires. In this way, we independently shape the reality we are exploring. However, we have to find a balance between investing raw materials in our development and using them to expand the map.

The game has a sandbox structure, offering full freedom to shape the heroine's life. The production also offers a rich character development system.

Game modes

The game features a single-player mode only.

Technical aspects

Above Snakes features simple but pleasing to the eye three-dimensional graphics with an isometric camera.
