The contamination removal simulator is the work of Visual Imagination Software, which specializes in original ideas for simulation games (e.g. Surgery Simulator and Airport Firefighter Simulator). The game is a result of cooperation with a manufacturer of fire-fighting and rescue vehicles of the Zikun brand.
The player has the opportunity to lead a chemical rescue unit and take part in a series of actions related to the elimination of chemical and radioactive contamination. The authors prepared a number of realistic scenarios of tasks, including road accidents involving vehicles transporting hazardous materials, dangerous chemical fires, leaks of radioactive substances. During the action, the player can use protective suits for the crew, special vehicles and equipment, and even a remote-controlled robot.
As with many similar simulations, the visual setting of the Pollution Removal Simulator has been pushed into the background. The quality of execution of models of characters, vehicles and objects, as well as the detail of the environment and smoothness of animation leave a lot to be desired, clearly deviating from the standards of modern computer games.
