A New Beginning is a representative of the classic adventure genre, in the full sense of the word, tempting the player with hand-painted backgrounds and riddles forcing grey cells to increase their effort.

A New Beginning is a classic two-dimensional point-and-click adventure with hand-drawn graphics. The game is prepared by Daedalic Entertainment, a German company, developer of the Deponia series and publisher of such productions as Machinar or Ankh: Battle of the Gods. The title was originally released in 2010 on PCs, and a few years after the premiere it was also converted to mobile platforms with Apple iOS. A version of the game for Nintendo consoles (Wii and 3DS) was also planned, but it never appeared.

Fabula

A New Beginning refers to tragic events from a distant future, namely from the year 2500. Humanity was on the verge of extinction, and the only chance to save a declining civilization was to organize a journey into the past in order to change the course of history and prevent catastrophes that were to take place. Several volunteers are assigned to this task. The mission of the first group of scientists ends in a complete failure, however, as it moves on to 2050, when the global catastrophe could no longer be prevented.
