A Juggler's Tale is a platformer in which we take control of a puppet named Abby and travel through a war-torn, medieval land; we avoid traps and obstacles, solve environmental puzzles, and escape heel-dragging persecutors.
A Juggler's Tale is a platform game developed by the independent German A Juggler's Tale Team. The team is led by Dominik Schön, a developer known for The Dwarves, The Book of Unwritten Tales, and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.
Plot
The main heroine of the game is a puppet named Abby, who, trying to regain her freedom, found herself in a war-torn land straight from medieval stories. Not only does the protagonist encounter the inhabitants dying of hunger at every turn, but she is also being chased by a villain named Tonda and his band of cutthroats. However, our protégé still has a chance to survive - she only has to gain the recognition of the audience.
Mechanics
In A Juggler's Tale, the action is shown from the side perspective. Abby travels through atmospheric, gloomy locations, avoiding numerous traps and obstacles, and solving ingenious puzzles. In addition, the heroine must be on guard and avoid contact with enemies, and if necessary - run for it. Her actions are continuously commented on by the narrator.
Technical aspects
The developers of A Juggler's Tale have made good use of the Unreal Engine 4 engine, which makes their work look very good from a visual point of view. The visuals were made in the 2.5D technique, and players are bound to appreciate its fairytale style and dynamic lighting.
