A free-to-play game in the Pokemon Rumble series, released for Nintendo 3DS handheld. Pokemon Rumble World is set in a realm of toys, where the players are invited to catch as many Pokemon as they can. The game world is divided into various locations which you visit one by one. After getting to a new region you must first challenge a wild Pokemon and then you are taken to a special arena, where you have a chance of making the Pokemon your ally. Pokemon Rumble World features arcade gameplay, but the character’s statistics are also very important. As you progress in the adventure you climb up in the so-called Adventurer Rank, which opens up access to new locations, where you can catch stronger Pokemon. And there are a lot of them - more than 700 in total. The developers included all the creatures that appeared in the core games in the series (up to Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire). In Pokemon Rumble World players can meet Mii characters of other participants and help one another.

Although the title offers a single player campaign, the essential part of the game are multiplayer battles for up to eight players. What is interesting, we are dealing with free-to-play production.

Pokemon Shuffle is a free-to-play match-3 game with optional microtransactions. We play as a pokemon trainer who duels wild pocket monsters. if we win, the pokemon we have defeated is added to our collection. Gameplay focuses on aligning three or more elements of the same kind into horizontal and vertical lines. We move small squares with pokemon icons around a small board. In order to attack, we have to align at least three pokemon icons of the same type (i.e. three Pikachus will create an electric attack). The more we use one pokemon, the stronger it gets. However, we have to remember we only have a limited number of moves to use in battle. If we use them all before winning, we automatically loose. Our enemies also have strengths and weaknesses, so it is advisable to plan ahead before battle.

A multiplayer action game by Nintendo, utilizing a free-to-play model. As the title implies, the players take on the roles of Kirbys, who participate in team battles with boss enemies threatening the Dream Kingdom. The team can consist of up to four players, and to win you have to cooperate with others and make use of your strengths. There are four kinds of Kirbys to choose from (Sword Hero, Hammer Lord, Doctor Healmore and Beam Mage), and every one of them has their own unique abilities. One Kirby can be physically strong, while the other heals his companions. When your team succeeds, you earn experience points, which increase your stats. Moreover, the resources you collect during the game can be used to craft new equipment. Team Kirby Clash Deluxe features microtransactions — to participate in battle, you need Vigor points, which renew automatically over time, but they can also be bought for Gem Apples, the in-game currency sold for real-life money. Gem Apples can also be useful when you want to continue the battle right after losing. The currency can also be earned as you play by participating in Heroic missions or visiting the Bandana Waddle Dee's tree.
