February 23, 2016
A bundle of six installments of the popular series of two-dimensional platformer games, Mega Man. The collection includes the major entries in the franchise that were initially published in years 1987-1993 on 8-bit consoles. The action of these titles takes place in an undefined future. While playing, we assume the role of the eponymous Mega Man who is a sentient humanoid robot who fights various mechanical enemies created by a mad scientist and inventor, Dr. Wily. The gameplay follows the genre’s standards and is based on exploring vast maps, collecting items, and avoiding various traps and obstacles. Mega Man Legacy Collection faithfully recreates the six games although not without introducing numerous enhancements such as slightly improved graphics, Challenge mode, online leaderboards, and a virtual museum that contains tons of information on individual installments of the series.
