Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

Call of Juarez is an FPS by the Polish developer Techland. The game is set in the Old West, and quite unusually, there are two playable protagonists. The first is Billy, a young fellow who is falsely accused of murdering his father; the other one is Ray, a preacher, although his past is questionable and shady.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Lost Alpha

The mod is based on the final version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, which introduced many changes and simplifications to the gameplay, earning itself disapproval of the fans in this respect.

The saga started in 2001 on PlayStation 2 and it tells the story of a half-demon warrior named Dante, whose job is to fight evil. Quake 4

The fourth major installment in the cult FPS series developed by Raven Software under strict supervision of id Software. Contrary to its predecessor, Quake 4 features an extensive single player mode, the action of which takes place right after the events of Quake II. The defeat of the Strogg leader, Macron, did not seal the fate of the hostile alien race, for it managed to regroup and bring a new, even more dangerous leader to life.
Team Fortress 2

The continuation of the multiplayer FPS with strategy elements, being a continuation of the legendary Quake’s freeware modification from 1996. After Valve Corporation bought the title, subsequent versions of the game were powered by Half-Life’s engine, while TF 2 utilizes the modern Source engine. To some extent, mechanics resemble those in the original Team Fortress, which means completing subsequent missions, despite the other team's efforts to prevent that.
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is a sequel to the action game LEGO Batman: The Video Game released in 2008. The game was developed by Traveller’s Tales, who also created such product as LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Harry Potter. As the title suggests, the player becomes The Dark Knight, and together with other DC Comics super heroes (such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and others) has to save Gotham City from the villains.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories

As the title of the game suggests, its action is related to GTA: Vice City. The title takes place in 1984, two years before the events shown in the other game. Transformers: War For Cybertron

Ultimate Spider-Man

The action takes place on Earth, though the planet was devastated by an asteroid. The protagonist has to face the new, brutal reality. Dead Island: Riptide - Definitive Edition

A remastered version of the second installment in the Dead Island series, originally launched in 2011 by the Polish studio Techland. The game picks up after the events of its predecessor. While going back home, the four protagonists had to land on a military ship which soon after became a zombie-infested hell. Eventually, we end up on the entirely new island, Palanai, where we have to fight for survival. As far as gameplay is concerned, the title is practically identical to the 2013’s original.
