The Stanley Parable is a peculiar game; it can be completed in less than two hours, but it takes several times as long to discover all the secrets it hides. No wonder that the achievements related to it are also, well, bizarre.
I like maxing games out, but not so much that I'd feel tempted to poke around the game files to try an achieve the unattainable. But here's another, easier achievement – "Go Outside." Contrary to what the name suggests, you don't need to go anywhere; in fact, one could – assuming the required technology existed – just hibernate for around five years.
As some of you may know, the point is to not play The Stanley Parable for five years. There is but one condition – you need to launch the game at least once (obviously). After all, you can't take a break from something that never started, right? On the other hand, why wait? Why wait when you just need to change the time on your computer – et voila! The achievement is already on our account. I did that... Then I smiled, shrugged my shoulders, went "meh," and started looking for real challenges.
