History of The Witcher games - watch a feature-length documentary
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is probably the best known representative of that fantasy universe, however, it's definitely not all there is.
Arhn.eu has prepared a feature-length documentary film about the history of The Witcher games. As you may probably know, the character of Geralt of Rivia first appeared in a series of novels by Polish fantasy writer Andrzej Sapkowski, specifically in a short story, first published in 1986. But it was a long road until CD Projekt RED brough us The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, one of the most important RPG games of the recent years (the film is in Polish, but you can turn on English subtitles).
Initially known only in Poland, the Witcher books were adapted into a TV series and a movie back in 2000. There was also a failed attempt at making a Witcher video game by Metropolis Software, before CD Projekt finally managed to release the first part of their game trilogy. The documentary discuses those and many other interesting facts about The Witcher series. If you can spare two hours – this evening, perhaps – we invite you to watch it.
