English Fan Translation is a mod for Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes created by NLeseul
Description:
This is a complete translation of the PC-98 version of Falcom’s JRPG Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes (????????—????), the sixth game in the Dragon Slayer series (as well as the first game in the Legend of Heroes series).
An English version of the same game was officially released for the TurboGrafx-16 CD, but the translators of that version did have to truncate the text and censor the plot mildly, as well as making fairly arbitrary changes to the names of characters and places. The goal of this patch is to retain the original text as much as possible.
The eventual hope is that this translation will flow smoothly into a future translation of the sequel (The Legend of Heroes 2), which has never been translated, and on which work should be starting “soon.”
This archive also contains a small, separate patch for the Scenario Disk to fix a copy protection issue that occurs when playing the game on real PC-98 hardware. Emulator users shouldn’t need to worry about that patch.
