Gears of Spec Ops Assault Recon is a mod for Spec Ops: The Line, created by gladias9.
Description:
This overhaul attempts to spark new life to the game by tweaking the game to function more closely to classics like Gears of War and FEAR. Faster movement speeds, Enemies more aggressive, More blood effects, Difficulty tweaks and other misc changes make for a more enjoyable experience.
Movement
General movement speed increased for faster paced combat
Slide to cover from further away to mimic GOW wall-bouncing
Enemies
Enemies move much more often to and from cover a la FEAR
Increased health to add some sponge
More aggressive and shortened response times
Difficulty Tweaks
No longer does increasing difficulty make your gun a pea-shooter
Enemies spam less grenades
Squad members buffed and retain effectiveness on all difficulties
VFX
More blood decals on being shot and on corpses
Ragdolls more exaggerated, watch bodies fly
Installation
Drag and drog the files into your Documents\My games\SpecOps-TheLine\SRGame\Config
MOD IS IN FULL EFFECT ON HARD OR INSANE DIFFICULTY
- Don't feel intimidated by increasing the difficulty, it's reasonably balanced
