Rune is a action-adventure game set in the Scandinavian mythology. The story takes us back in time to the Dark Ages, when Vikings conquered the cold and bleak world, and Paganism ruled absolutely on the lands of the North. The player playing the Ragnara-a young Viking Warrior, must defeat the monsters of Norse myths and discover the source of the evil that erode its people. Based on the graphics engine of Unreal Tournament, the game allows us to overcome the 25 levels of a mysterious, dark and mythical world of Vikings.
With advanced animation system of the body, as well as other Ragnor living creatures move neatly and naturally. The game is steeped in the ancient Nordic mythology, next to the Vikings, exist in other creatures from legends, and much of her levels were spread on the background of historical or mythological events, for example. Muspelheim (Underworld) and Thorstadt (fortress of the black Vikings). Background sound climate stresses the barbaric times (JAWS sabers rattle, discs) and an amazing atmosphere surrounding world (cheers coming from the dungeons, echo, howling wolves and frost weakened Black calls the Vikings).
