Performance boost for potato PC is a mod for Returnal, created by yakuzadeso
Description:
Disable stuff like shadows, fog, post processing etc. to boost performance. Includes resources for customizing.
Installation:
Go to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Returnal\Steam\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Make a backup of Engine.ini.
Download the mod and extract the archive. You will get two versions of the mod – the standard one and more extreme “No Fog” one that also removes the fog from the maps. Pick the one that’s right fot you and copy it’s Engine.ini file into:
C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Returnal\Steam\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Notes:
If you didn't make a backup of Engine.ini you can delete it and launch the game. A new one will be generated.
