Penumbra: Requiem - Texture Upscale Mod v.1.1 - Game mod - Download

Texture Upscale Mod is a mod for Penumbra: Requiem, created by sk8er_boi6000.

Description (in author’s own words):

This mod includes upscaled textures for Penumbra: Requiem. All environmental, model, and item textures have been upscaled. Upscaling significantly increases the size of the textures and as a result makes them consume more memory. At least 4GB of video memory is recommended to use this mod on the base game without stuttering.

NOTE: As Penumbra: Requiem uses textures from the base Penumbra: Black Plague game it is highly recommended to also install my upscaled texture pack for Black Plague before playing. You can download it here

No additional modifications to game files are needed.

1: Open \Penumbra Black Plague\expansion01\redist\ and back up the contents of \models and \textures

2: Extract the contents of this archive to your Penumbra Black Plague\expansion01\redist folder, and overwrite the original textures when asked

3: Play the game and enjoy. If you encounter any glitches or issues please feel free to leave a comment.

Version 1.0: Initial Release

Version 1.1: Replaced computer screen texture with one that is completely custom made. Computers now look like actual computers, not a screen with a bunch of indecipherable mess on it. In addition a whole bunch of spelling, grammatical, and syntactical errors have been fixed for the English language version of the game.

(Please note: It felt odd to me to have the computer screen immediately shut off after use, so I changed the textures to make computer screens in Black Plague and Requiem always on. To make this make sense minor rewrites to the game's tooltips were necessary).
