Description:

This is a fix for Metaphor: ReFantazio that adds ultrawide/narrower support and much more.

FEATURES

General

1. Intro skip.
2. Disabled ALT+F4/exit handler.
3. Disable pause on focus loss.
4. Remove 60fps cap in menus.
5. Fix 8-way analog movement.
6. Adjust gameplay FOV.
7. Force controller icons.
8. Disable camera shake (everywhere).

Ultrawide/narrower

1. Support for any resolution/aspect ratio.
2. Fix cropped FOV at <16:9.
3. Correctly scaled movies.
4. Fixes stretched HUD.

Graphics

1. Adjust ambient occlusion resolution.
2. Adjust level of detail distance.
3. Disable black outlines.
4. Custom resolution scale.
5. Adjust resolution of ambient occlusion.
6. Adjust shadow resolution.

Installation

Grab the latest release of MetaphorFix from here.

Extract the contents of the release zip in to the the game folder. e.g. ("steamapps\common\METAPHOR" for Steam).

Steam Deck/Linux Additional Instructions

You do not need to do this if you are using Windows!

Open up the game properties in Steam and add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b" %command% to the launch options.

SpecialK

Using SpecialK can provide a significant performance gain in this game, and offers many other useful features such as an excellent framerate limiter.

If you are using this fix with SpecialK, you will need to delete the bundled ASI loader file winmm.dll. You can then add MetaphorFix as a plug-in through the SpecialK OSD (accessed with CTRL+SHIFT+BACKSPACE).
