Description:

Medal of Honor: Airborne Redux is an overhaul mod that aims to remaster this flawed, ambitious FPS game up to modern standards by polishing up the gameplay and removing most of the jank. The goal is to provide a more challenging and tactical experience on-par with the best of what the World War II FPS sub-genre has to offer.

FEATURES

General:

1. Increased FOV with viewmodels to match. You MUST turn off Sprint Effects in the main menu!
2. Revamped guns that handle more faithfully to real life and actually hit where you're aiming.
3. Brutal, unforgiving difficulty.
4. Optional crosshair & hitmarker removal with texmod/uMod.
5. 3D positional audio (HRTF) through the DSOAL wrapper.

Controls:

1. Smooth mouse movement with lower sensitivity threshold and disabled acceleration.
2. Toggle iron sights instead of hold.
3. WASD with iron sights is now movement by default while holding Shift makes you lean.
4. Tighter, more responsive lean controls that don't expose your whole body.
5. Mouse wheel down and up are now "next weapon" and "previous weapon" like in every other game.
6. Base movement speed is 10% slower while base sprinting speed is 10% faster.
7. Grenade throw arc now lines up with crosshair instead of overshooting it.

Gameplay balance:

1. Health decreased from 600/500/400HP to 400/200/100HP.
2. Hitbox damage revised so limb shots do greatly reduced damage while chest shots do a lot more.
3. Player cover damage reduced from 75% to 50% to simulate new arm hitbox damage.
4. Enemies now consistently have 100HP with the exceptions of Waffen Storm Leader (reduced chest damage to simulate armor) and Nazi Storm Elite (around half of the vanilla HP).
5. Revised ammo capacity to match real life soldier loadouts based on historical documentation.
6. Nazi Storm Elite carry StG-44s instead of MG42s.

Step 1:

Select your aspect ratio and FOV, then copy & paste the files to

C:\Users\yournamehere\Documents\EA Games\Medal of Honor Airborne(tm)\Config

overwriting any files in the process.

YOU ~MUST~ DISABLE SPRINT EFFECTS FROM THE MAIN MENU!!!

FOV increase will automatically happen upon pressing WASD, or by pressing P.

Move the files to your Medal of Honor Airborne game folder, overwriting any files in the process.

Download TexMod

Load the game through uMod/TexMod with the -enableconsole launch command, then load the .dds file.
