True to its title, it’s a beatem’up that is the unofficial installment of Sega's cult series.

As for the game, it starts after events of original Golden Axe trilogy. All protagonists of original games has returned, but they have to stop the same enemy that have stolen the legendary Golden Axe again

The gameplay is the same as in original Golden Axe trilogy. But now, you can play as, not 3 but 10 playable characters. Main 3 characters from Golden Axe 1 and 2, then 4 characters + 1 from versus mode from Golden Axe 3 and few from arcade exclusive Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder. All of them have different moves, abilities and unique skills.
