So if you have tried this game in English, you miiiiight have noticed that it wasn't written by a fluent English speaker.

I was frustrated by all of the mistakes in the English translation, so I went through the game's files as best I could and fixed typos, grammar, and apostrophes. I went through all the enemies, all the classes, all the skills, all the books, all the weapon descriptions, and all map areas. I tried to be as faithful as possible to the source material, with a few editorial exceptions:

I made Griffith's Le'Garde's lines a little less casual. More "I will not allow that" and less "Not gonna happen."

I changed a line from the knight's backstory that implies the armies of Rondon would leave a surviving child or two to tell the story of what had happened. FYI it's because the original wording was clunky and it refused to fit in the text window no matter what I did. Now, the children were let go 'for sport'. See, it's still depressing! You get to enjoy that.

I re-wrote some of the dark priest's reasons for heading to the dungeon, as the original text was very muddled and obtuse. Now the priest finds the prophecy and heads to the dungeons to not only find out what the fates intend, but to overcome them, bending them to his will.

I re-wrote the crow mauler poem so it rhymes now. As it was, the poem tried to rhyme "behind you now" with "reap what I sow" and that's...not a thing. Now it's "reap as I plow."

I changed out Defence Stance for "Defensive Stance". Come at me, brits, I'm updating this game to be consistently in American English!

Finally, I changed the demon child's birth prompt to say "Name your terrible son." This change should speak for itself.

2. to pregnate her --> to impregnate her
3. you brought this to yourself --> you brought this on yourself
4. they're barking at the wrong tree --> they're barking up the wrong tree
5. the hunger almost hooks you up --> the hunger almost consumes you
6. they are but child's play words (real Derek Zoolander quote) --> they are but children's stories
7. once upon in time --> once upon a time
8. you don't know what he is responsible of --> you don't know what he is responsible for!
9. Mecenary lost his another arm! --> lost his other arm too
10. your child crawls to itself-->your child crawls by itself
11. all with no avail -->all to no avail
12. engraved on your head-->engraved in your mind
13. I'm at a loss of words here even--> me too, game. me too.

Instructions:

To install, just unzip the mod file and transfer the www file over to your game's directory, overwriting files when prompted. The path ought to be something like:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fear & Hunger\
