F.E.A.R. Font Fix is a mod for F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon, created by Deus and montonero!.
Description (in author’s own words):
Anyone who tried to play F.E.A.R. at big screen resolution, faces the fact that the subtitles are almost unreadable because of the very small font size. Surprisingly there is still no bug fix for this (nobody cares?). So I decided to do it myself.
This mod works for F.E.A.R. and both its expansions. It was tested on Windows 7 x64 at 1920x1080 (should work with other resolutions too).
Installation instructions:
Download archive
Unpack the archive into game’s folder.
Note:
<path to FEAR> it's "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FEAR Ultimate Shooter Edition" for Win 7 x64. Which is shown by right click on the game in Steam library, Properties, Local Files tab, Browse Local Files. It could be different if you have a non-Steam version of F.E.A.R.
Open file Default.archcfg (in same folders) in Notepad and add this to the end:
FEARL_1920.Arch00
