Deus Ex Human Revolution: MOD Hardcore Revival is a mod for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, created by Grognougnou.

Contents of the Hardcore Revival Mod for Deus Ex Human Revolution (Version 1.01) :
The merchants sell new items, some others in big numbers and some others in small numbers. The V1.01 of the mod gives the player one chance to acquire rare weapons like the plasma rifle and the laser rifle early. But after that, the merchants will only sell some ammos for theses weapons (Well, they are rare after all).
Also, in V1.01 of the mod, now the arm merchants don't buy anymore some items like nutrients, alcoholic beverages and very common weapons such as the 10mm pistol, the machine pistol, the revovler and the shotgun. As for the items which can still be sold to them, they can be sold a certain number of times only to the same merchant : After that the merchant's stock will be full (but the items can then be sold to the other merchant and anyways, it will be reinitialized each time the player leaves Detroit and Hengsha, so it just prevents the player to sell a lot of stuffs to merchants).
As for the augmentations, now some augmentations require more praxis kits to be enabled and some others require less praxis kits (of course, the augmentations which give a big advantage to the player cost more).
- A base level, the radar only displays the map and the objective's location. To make the radar displays enemies around Jensen on the portative radar, it needs to be upgraded to level 2.
- Jensen can stay invisible for less time now as the invisibility augmentation was overpowered and made the game too easy, especially if the player would use this augmentation and knock out enemies with the stun gun.
- Jensen can now sprint up to 35 seconds (instead of 7,5 seconds) if the player upgrades the rebreather augmentation at its maximum level.
- Jensen starts the game with 1 energy cell (instead of 2) and this energy cells doesn't recharge automatically : To enable the energy recharge, the energy augmentation must be upgraded to level 2. And at level 3, the energy recharge is very fast (Only 4-5 seconds are necessary so it is full again).
- The inventory size has been changed : It is now bigger if it is upgraded at its maximum level.
- The augmentations "Jump higher", "Sprint faster", "lift/throw heavy objects" and "punch through walls" are now enabled by default, so playing augmented Jensen really feels different compared to the full human Jensen who is played in the game's prologue).
Also, the space taken by the items in the inventory has been improved (The player has to make choices but players wanting to play with big weapons will be less penalized compared to the version 1.0 of the mod).
- The items' price has also been changed (now the weapons and ammos cost more).
- The weapons' power has also been changed. For example, the 10mm pistol has been nerfed, the silenced sniper rifle has been improved and snipers can't be upgraded anymore with a laser sight as this upgrade was ruining theses weapons, making them not precise at all when using their scope). Same for the revolver, now this weapon can't equip laser sight anymore (Only Burke's customized revolver can).
- Some quests items are now playable items (and can even be sold by the merchants).
- In the Cloak & Daggers quest, if Jensen decides to let O'Malley go, he will get 10,000 credits (instead of 3,000) which corresponds to the price of 2 praxis kits.
- In the mission where the player needs to find where Arie Van Bruggen is hiding, if he decides to sneak in the Hive and hear Tong's discussion with Nahari Khan rather to persuade Tong to reveal what he knows about the hacker, then he will now get around the same XP amount.
During the second visit in Detroit, Seurat's weapon is now a pistol (with a silencer attached to it) rather than a shotgun and so his standing animation isn't the same as it was (he stands, crosses arms, ect...).
- The V1.01 version of the mod Hardcore Revival for Deus Ex Human Revolution also changes the texts in english and also now in french of the items and augmentations which have been modded (so their decriptions correspond to the new effects and stats when players play the game in theses 2 languages).
NOTE : The mod is available in 2 versions :
- 1 version where the non-lethal takedowns are disabled and only the (very noisy) lethal takedowns can be used (Which makes the game more difficult for stealth players).
- And 1 version where non-lethal takedowns can be used.

MOD INSTALLATION :
Put the file DFEngine.dll and the folder "mods" into the main folder where you installed Deus Ex Human Revolution.
Also, just in case, make a backup of your original DFEngine.dll before replacing it with the one contained in the mod (this way, if there is a problem, you won't have to re-install the whole game just because of a small file).
NB : Playing with this mod and an old savegame could make the game crash so it is better to start a new game.
