Description:

The project upgrades the game engine and introduces a mass of improvements so as to fix Descent 3's problems and ensure maximum comfortable play on modern PCs.

This is a new engine for Descent 3, from the initial 1.5 source code release. It incorporates almost every change from InjectD3, among many more.

At the moment, this includes the following features:

1. Centered window mode
2. Scaling in window and fullscreen mode
3. Fullscreen which does not change desktop settings New mouse code
4. Adjustable FOV, with automatic expansion for widescreen
5. Missing features in OpenGL restored, including specular highlights and the ability to control mipmapping
6. Cockpit actually works in widescreen, unlike InjectD3
7. Faster iteration when many missions are present.
8. Smoother UI (FPS limit raised to 60)
9. OpenAL sound system with no crackling and environment reverb support.
10. Many bugfixes
