Condemned: Criminal Origins - Neural Origins v.0.9 - Game mod - Download

Neural Origins is a mod for Condemned: Criminal Origins, created by Ridiculous_Death.

Description:

Neural Origins — HD texture pack for Condemned: Criminal Origins. All textures are original, so the atmosphere is preserved, upscaled to 4x resolution with neural networks.Original texture resolution is horrible(texture artist did a wonderful job, but due to hardware limitations they drastically lowered resolution) so I decided to fix it. I'm on my first playthrough so please no spoilers. All game textures are upscaled. Sadly I didn't find the way to implement upscaled normal maps, either the size was astronomical(17gb only for normals) or the quality got destroyed by compression.

WARNING: I got reports that there is a couple of versions of the game, with different folder structures. IF YOU DONT HAVE ORIGINAL "DATA" FOLDER, PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS BELOW

Unpacked mod size is 9.33 Gb. You need 4GB Patch for the game to load without crashing. Sometimes after applying new textures, keybinds reset, so if your character is not moving, go to settings and set new keybinds.

INSTALLATION:Patch your game executable with 4GB Patch (Condemned.exe located inside the game folder). Just download it, run and choose Condemned.exe

Put the Data folder into your Condemned: Criminal Origins game directory and Replace all files.

Example folder structure >C:\Games\Condemned - Criminal Origins\Data

If you have Game folder with CondemnedA.Arch00 folder inside, put all the subfolders from my mod (global, m01..and others) inside CondemnedA.Arch00 folder and Replace all files. Example folder structure >C:\Games\Condemned - Criminal Origins\Game\CondemnedA.Arch00

If you have STEAM version you must find CondemnedA.Arch00(6.4 Gb) inside ...common\Condemned - Criminal Origins\Game. You must unpack it with Dragon Unpacker (Use version 5.6.2 !). In the unpacker, you must open CondemnedA.Arch00 file, right-click on the root folder and "extract sub-directories to " CondemnedA.Arch00" and choose the same folder of Arch00 file.

If it doesn't unpack, create folder with the same name "CondemnedA.Arch00" besides Arch00 file and click "extract sub-directories" and choose created folder.

Then put all subfolders from my mod into this unpacked folder and replace all files. For the time move old CondemnedA.Arch00 FILE somewhere(or delete it if you confirmed that mod works). Now try the game and report if it works!

RECOMMENDATIONS:

First, turn all graphics settings to maximum. Then go to Options>Performance>Advanced Options>Graphics TURN OFF FULLSCREEN FX and BLOOM(they are destroying image quality). If you have a lower-end system turn off Soft shadows in Options>Performance>Advanced Options>Graphics.
