COD2 Frontline "Your Finest Hour" Omaha Level is a mod for Call of Duty 2, crearted by COD2 Frontline Developers.

Mod recreates a level from Medal of Honor Frontline

======== GAMEPLAY ========

Call of Duty 2 mechanics have been repurposed to resemble MOH Frontline.

All game's menus have been edited to resemble Frontline.

Main Menu, Mission Select, Options, and Profiles are edited to give a Moh Frontline feeling.

Due to limitations, the menus aren't 100% the same, so there are leftovers from COD2 like the Options menu.

A progression system is integrated with the level select menu,

however due to lack of mod levels, there isn't much to be explored on that aspect.

The health system is entirely remade. There is now a healthbar just like Frontline

which is combined with a fully recreated UI system with textures from Frontline.

There are health pickups from Frontline. 3 out of 4 health items have been ported.

All weapons are edited to resemble their MOHF counterparts.

The aiming system is changed to resemble the PS2/GameCube/Xbox MOHF version.

Weapon models and textures are slightly edited by combining Back2Fronts assets

and various edits from Marcomix.

--- OMAHA ---

The first level, Your Finest Hour / Omaha Beach Landing

is the only one available on this mod so far.

The level follows the original level from Frontline strictly.

The design, the scripted sequences and the objectives

are trying to be as truthful and authentic to the original.

There are tips showing on the top of the screen every now and then.

Try to pay attention to them.

If you have trouble finishing it, here's a small guide.

Once you gain control of player, go near the destroyed boat where the captain is.

Then, four smoke indicators will show you the allies you have to cover.

To cover your allies, go close to them and aim at the bunker on their side.

The two allies on the LEFT need cover from the LEFT bunker so shoot that.

And the two on the right the right one respectively.

Once this is done, find the captain (the only AI with thompson) near the seawall with barbed wire.

Go close to him and then an other ally will spawn with a smoke indicator that will need cover from the right bunker.

Cover him, and follow him to the seawall. Once the seawall is destroyed, make your way to the trench and pillbox.

Get on the MG up the ladder, and shoot the sandbag MG nests along with enemies in the trench.

Once everything is clear, wait in the trench for the captain and stay close to him.

And the mission is done.

======== INSTALL ========

-----NON-STEAM-----

1) Copy the folder mohf and the mohf.bat file.

2) Go to your Call of Duty 2 directory folder and paste them there.

3) To start and play the mod, simply run mohf.bat

(!) mohf.bat MUST be in the same folder CoD2SP_s.exe is.

You can optionally make a desktop shortcut of mohf.bat and give it the mod icon from the mod folder.

-----STEAM-----

1) Copy the folder mohf.

2) Go to your Call of Duty 2 steam directory folder and paste it there.

3) Go to your Steam Library and left click on COD2.

4) Click properties.

5) In the Launch Options area put the following:

+set fs_game mohf

6) Start the game from steam.

(!) To play the game without the mod, just remove the launch options you added.

----- IMPORTANT ------

For all players, before you play, when in main menu, you must click the menu button SET STATS for the mod to function properly.

If you don't do this there will be missing HUD items and no progress will be saved along with other bugs.

You must do this ONCE. If you do it a second time, it will reset any progress you might have done.
