Description:

This mod offers a comprehensive overhaul to the gameplay, meant to make it harder and more replayable, by introducing a plethora of alterations and fresh elements to the game. These include new randomized components, customized difficulty settings, revamped fuel mechanics, and a variety of additional features.

KEY FEATURES:

Randomization:

1. Over 30 new randomized elements have been incorporated into the game.
2. Items such as the wrench, cutters, dynamite, and keys are now randomized to locations that align with the storyline.
3. Notes and map objectives have been added to guide players towards necessary items for progression.
4. Certain items like the gas mask, lighter, and shotgun may spawn outside of lockers, with the revolver also potentially appearing elsewhere if not initially provided.
5. Nearly every map now features randomized changes.
6. Randomized obstacles like persistent gas leaks add depth and challenge, particularly enhancing the utility of the gas mask.
7. Note: A text file within the mod folder offers guidance on potential key spawn locations if players encounter difficulty.

Difficulty Settings:

1. Additional difficulty settings have been introduced, designated by a (+) symbol.
2. Options include adjustments to power switch fuel consumption, the likelihood of generator interruptions during bombings, the visibility of trap warning signs, stalker resilience to light, shotgunner health, and the addition of a new puzzle in the soldier quarters.
3. The fuel storage code lock difficulty setting has been replaced with a modified version, introducing randomized obstacles to fuel storage (excluding easy difficulty).

Fuel Rework:

1. Fuel canisters now come in either 100% or 50% capacity, visually indicated by a progress bar.
2. Fuel bottles contain 50% fuel, effectively reducing their efficacy for generator refills.
3. Pouring fuel with a canister now consumes only 50% fuel instead of the entire contents.
4. Crafting a fuel bottle utilizes 50% of the canister's fuel.
5. Players can now adjust the amount of fuel required to save, ranging from 50% to 200% (with 100% equating to shell shock mode).
6. In cases where the saving item lacks sufficient fuel, remaining fuel from inventory items will be utilized.

General Changes:

1. The second charge of the flashlight now lasts slightly less.
2. The third charge lasts longer but emits significantly louder noise.
3. All power switches are initially off, intensifying the challenge of navigating the soldier quarters due to interconnected switches.
4. Power switch status affects the stalker's presence and ability to emerge while the generator is active.
5. Alterations to the stalker and shotgun mechanics increase unpredictability and challenge, respectively.

How to Play:

Download the mod and extract the contents into the game's mods folder.

From the main menu, navigate to "Custom Stories."

Click on the "Stories" tab and select "Survival - Gameplay Overhaul."
