Description.

With the Fall of Rome the Great Migration slowly comes to a halt, but at the fringes Europe remains a dynamic and instable war zone, where new settlers compete with each other and the dying Roman world for a permanent home.

Around Gibraltar, where Europe and Africa border each other, the dramatic stories of the Vandals and Moors unfold between the 5th and the 9th century. Meanwhile Slavic settlers, spear-headed by the more bold and warlike Varangians/Rus and Bulgars, consolidate in the borderlands between Europe and Asia.

Borderland Empires is an alternative expansion (to play the Conquerors campaigns you need to uninstall Borderline Empires) for Age of Kings, which focuses on the late consequences of the Great Migration. Choose one of four civilizations, which, established by nomads and adventurers quickly flourished into empires of considerable significance.
