TzarOrcs is a mod for Tzar: The Burden of the Crown, created by darthdoull.

Description (in author’s own words):

Changes the Asian civilization to produce Orcs and Stone Golems. Contains the same changes as TzarMod, choose only one.

Changes:

TzarMod:

-AI now builds Spy units in random map.

-AI now builds Galleon in random maps with water.

-AI now builds Market in random maps (you can trade with the ai now).

-Added Messiah to Magic Gateway.

-AI now builds Messiah in random map with Magic Gateways turned on.

-Added new build icon for Messiah (it didn't have one).

-Added Footman to Outpost (ai also uses this to great effect).

-Castle of the Evil can build the same units as Magic Gateway (ai seems to ignore this).

-Added icons for "Hypnotize" spell (it used to be blank).

-Added cannon sound effect to Cannon Tower.

TzarOrcs:

Asian Changes:

-Replaced Barracks with Outpost

-Added Orc, Archer, Stone Golem to Outpost.

-Added Stone Golem research to Castle.

-Changed Orc cost from 60 Gold to 120 Food.

European Changes:

-Added Dwarf to Outpost.

Arabian Changes:

-Added Skeleton and Ghost to Outpost.

Other Changes:

-Nerfed Priest attack on Orcs by 75%.

-Modified AI to utilise these changes. Fully compatible with AI.

Updated 17/05/2019:

-Increased Stone Golem build time from 32 seconds to 128 seconds to prevent spam.

-Moved Stone Golem research from Castle to Blacksmith.

-Removed unused mounted unit research for Asia.

-Changed Archer/Orc ratio in AI (AI had tendency to spam Archers, now it prefers Orcs.)

Updated 25/06/2019:

-Changed Asian Castle to Castle of the Evil.

Bugs:

-The AI is limited to 1 Messiah and won't build more. But if the player has 2 or more Messiahs then the AI will break it's own rules and start building more Messiahs. Build more than 1 Messiah at your own risk! :D

-Messiah build icon sometimes replaces spell book icons in Asian Market's item shop. Not sure how to fix...

-Castle of the Evil and Outposts cannot place a rally point.

-AI won't build units from Castle of the Evil. Asian Castle of the Evil is unaffected, AI will build from it.

Fixed Bugs:

Fixed AI not building Orcs or Stone Golems in Deathmatch with High resources.

Notes: I did some balance testing and it seems Asia is now quite over-powered. Increasing the stone golem build time and Orc cost helped balance it. As it is, Asia has a very weak early game, it is most vulnerable because of high cost Orcs and lack of stone golems. But late game, Asia becomes the strongest faction with upgraded food production and active stone golem and orc production. If you want fun and challenge play against Asia - I beat it using Barracks + attack move rally spam. The lack of rally point for the Asian Outpost is a nice unintended balance albeit inconvenient.

Instructions:

Extract the ZIP into the Tzar main directory. Keep file structure, "DATA", "IMAGES", and "LOCAL" are needed for the game.
