No Man's Sky - Unstretched 21-9 HUD for v.1.7 - Game mod - Download

Unstretched 21-9 HUD for NEXT is a mod for No Man’s Sky, created by Lo2k.

Description (in author’s own words):

Despite the game offers to pick any resolution via its configuration file, it seems the HUD has not been developped to adapt to any monitor ratio other than 16:9.

This mod has been developped to fix this, recovering correct HUD elements ratio and placing them at the right part of the screen for a correct 21:9 experience.

I tested this mod for a specific 21:9 group of resolutions, mainly 3440x1440 and scaled down resolutions with the same ratio, so any slightly different ratio might result in little divergences in the HUD item placements.

Also, as this mod kinda cuts, deforms and pastes HUD items, I needed to remove top screen effects as I did in Clean UI.

So if you use this mod, no need to use Clean UI as Clean UI is already part of this mod.

Hazard effects still apply though.

Please also note that even if the HUD is fixed, some other elements sill aren't. Typically, menus are still stretched, but also visors and some icons and labels. Each of these elements will need more tests and trials before being fixed.

Instructions:

Please follow these steps in order to install this mod.

Installation :

- remove or rename DISABLEMODS.TXT file from PCBANKS folder (I rename it into ENABLEMODS.TXT)

- create a MODS folder into \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS folder

- copy/paste included .pak file into this MODS folder
