Ghost of Tsushima was released on PCs yesterday after a long period of exclusivity on PlayStation. Of course, fans are quite happy about this fact, however many can’t enjoy the game fully, as the launch is plagued by various technical issues - crashes, not working PSN and servers, Voice and Subtitles glitches and the new game will not start for some. Even if you manage to play the title, you might be welcomed by freezes and stutters. Let’s talk about it.

Freezing and Stuttering in Ghost of Tsushima on PC Explained

Technical issues on PC are nothing new. Looking at releases over the past few years we should be quite familiar with them. They used to be exclusive on computers, as this platform is very diverse and players have different hardware configurations. However, recently we may also observe various problems on consoles, too.

So, no one should be surprised that there are issues with GoT on PC. It is a saddening fact, but an easy to predict. Players report various glitches, among them they notice stutters. The game freezes in various places for a short while.

The problem occurs even for gamers with good setups. This led fans to the conclusion that Ghost of Tsushima has a memory leak issue. It means that the title takes resources for various processes but does not release them back. Due to that, after some time, GoT starts freezing. If it is true in your case, just restart the game.

If you experience problems only at some points, mainly while being in highly populated areas, and restart does not help, it could mean that the issue is with something else. Try to download the newest drivers. It is a good idea to check your processor specs, too. Many players put too much faith in the newest graphics cards, forgetting that other components are equally important.

If you manage to deal with your problem, and will need a helping hand with gameplay, we have prepared a guide for you. You can find missions and maps there, too. Have fun.
