GreedFall II: The Dying World

GreedFall II: The Dying World is the second installment of the RPG series, launched in 2019. The sequel was developed by the French studio Spiders (known for such projects as The Technomancer and Steelrising), while its release was handled by Nacon, the company overseeing the brand.

Plot

The action of GreedFall II: The Dying World is set three years before the events depicted in the first part of the series. During the game, we play the role of a character from the island of Teer Fradee, who one day is captured and taken to the continent of Gacane, ravaged by wars and the Malichor plague.

Our primary task is to find our place in the old world and regain freedom. It quickly turns out that we will have to play a key role in saving both the continent and our home island from the clutches of a man consumed by sick ambitions.

To achieve all this, we must be cunning, use diplomacy or resort to violence. We are not doomed to a lonely journey, because over time we manage to win the friendship of subsequent allies.

Mechanics

In GreedFall II: The Dying World we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). We start the game by creating our character. On the Gacane continent, various places are waiting to be visited - from the bustling city of Olima to the picturesque coasts of Uxantis. As we traverse them, we get to know their inhabitants and the factions that shake them, we carry out various quests, and we also gain potential allies who can join us during our adventures. With allies, we can not only establish close relationships, but also engage in romances.

Dynamic battles with opponents play an important role here. We can encounter both aggressively inclined people and various hostile creatures. We can freely switch between team members on the battlefield. As we progress, we develop our character and our companions, and also equip the entire team with increasingly better equipment.
