Prince of Persia Time Sands Remake Delayed

Work is in progress on a refreshed version of Prince of Persia Sands of Time. However, Ubisoft has delayed the release, as informed on its Czech Facebook profile.

Ubisoft has published information on its official Czech Facebook profile, about the change of release date of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. Originally planned for January 21, 2021, it would be delayed until March 18. Unfortunately, the post has already disappeared (although it has not escaped the attention of Reddit users) and it has not appeared in English either. However, it can be assumed that the fact will soon be more widely announced by Ubisoft.

Here's the message that appeared on Ubisoft's Czech Facebook account:

Original message from Ubisoft

Its content translated into English:

"Greetings, Pince of Persia fans! During our Ubisoft Forward digital conference, we proudly announced Prince's return from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. We are excited to be able to put this game in your hands again as we retell the story of Prince and Farah in the amazing 11th century Persia. However, 2020 was a year like no other. Today we would like to inform you that we need more time to complete the game. With that, the release date of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been moved to March 18, 2021. We believe this is the right decision to ensure we deliver a game you like. Thank you for your patience and continued support of the Prince of Persia, and we hope you remain safe and healthy during this holiday season. Developer team."

As you can see, the main goal of delaying the release is to improve the game. The question is why the information about it appeared in such a strange way. We hope that the delay will not increase. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake offers primarily much better visuals, adapted to modern standards. The controls and combat system will also be redesigned. The Remake is developed on the Anvil engine, which also powers Assassin's Creed Origins. The game is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PCs.
