Gray Zone Warfare was released today. It seems that it was a few days ago when we were talking about early access and how to play it… well, it was. The release was surprising for many. However, fans are excited for a possibility to play. Before they do, though, there is an important decision to make – which faction to join with. Let’s learn more about groups in the game.

Lamang Recover Initiative (LRI)

We may say that they are “good guys”. This faction was founded by tech billionaire and its purpose is to rescue survivors. They try to protect innocent people and kill less altruistic individuals.

Mithras Security Systems

Private military company full of ex-soldiers. This organization is inspired by Roman Legion system. So, spoils are divided among all warriors, based on their rank. This group accepts everyone, as long as they have experience and are the best of the best.

Crimson Sheild International

Another PMC working in Lamang. We may call them the “bad guys”. They are successful, and they are people to call if you want a job done. However, this organization does not care about collateral damage.

Important information

More information on factions can be found here.

Picking a faction itself is not very important choice, as it will not give you any advantage. It will only determine your starting base. However…

If you want to play with friends, you have to pick the same faction. Moreover, changing faction will be possible only after a wipe (we write about it more here). The system may change though, as many players don’t like its current form and the game starts in early access.
