At the end of March, the game Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicle was released. It's a city builder "strategy" set in a fantasy world, which is an extension of the universe of the dev's previous game - The Falconeer. The game was generally well received and has 79% positive reviews on Steam.

The problem arose over time as players began to explore the game, and some concluded that it lacked endgame content. This opinion greatly surprised the developer - Tomas Sala - who made a rather interesting decision and changed the title of the game on Steam to better reflect what players should expect.

Currently, the title of the game is "Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, a creative building sandbox," although Sala via X informed that the unofficial, full title is:

Bulwark : Falconeer Chronicles, a bloody creative sandbox not a f***ing strategy game, build some cool shit expect no endgame cuz a sandbox.

The full name is undeniably blunt and provides a clear depiction of the game at hand. Sala went on to explain that Bulwark is a game that only looks like a mechanically deep strategy game, but in reality, it's just a "cozy sandbox" in which you create a cool fortress, and when you get bored, you start doing something else.

This is definitely an intriguing marketing approach, as the comments under the post attracted people who were previously unaware of the game but were piqued by the devs' actions. At least now they will have a better picture of what they are buying, if they decide to go for it.

The game is available for purchase on Steam at a discounted price of $15.99 (it's also on GOG and the Epic Games Store, but at higher prices).
